A Houston ICU nurse employed by Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital has been terminated after she threatened police during a DWI arrest, telling officers she would let them die if treated at her hospital.

The arrest took place in Magnolia, Texas, after officers say she ran a red light, slowed only after 40 seconds, and displayed signs of intoxication including slurred speech and unsteady movement.

In body-camera footage released by Magnolia police, the nurse identifies herself as a medical professional and says, “When you come through my hospital, don’t worry, I’ll let you die.”

She was initially suspended, then dismissed by the hospital pending investigation.

According to police reports, she admitted to having two drinks at a concert and claimed a recent eye injection affected her balance.

She’s charged with DWI and has since been released on bond.
