The Pelicans are back this weekend, and Smoothie King Center officials are ready to start the new NBA season.
Smoothie King Center and Superdome General Manager Evan Holmes says it is that fun time of year when they're doing both NFL and NBA at the same time.
"The regular season as we know it begins over the weekend," Holmes said, when the Pels host the New York Knicks. "Our team has been working, as they always do, to get the building ready."
Then two days later, it is a Western Conference showdown.
"Pretty big, marquis game on Monday when the Golden State Warriors will be coming in, so that will have the Chris Paul effect," said Holmes. "That's always a big event, when Chris Paul's back in the market, let alone the Warriors, Steph Curry and the whole group."
