Scoot: Is it wrong to promote the “Trump Rally Knives?”

A pro-Trump social media platform is giving away “Keep America Great Rally Knives” so patriots can have a weapon to bring with them to MAGA rallies.

This is so crazy so the first thing I did was verify if it is actually true.  Snopes.com, FactCheck.org, and Verify have nothing to dispute the fact that Parler, the right-wing radical social media platform, is offering these Trump Rally Knives as a legal weapon to bring to Trump rallies.  Why would you go to a rally if you felt like you needed a knife for protection?

The Trump Campaign is not offering these knives, but it seems clear that Trump is not opposed to the knife offer. In my attempt to verify the legitimacy of the “Keep America Great Rally Knives” I discovered numerous Trump-related knives for sale on Amazon.com. For example:

Trump 2024 Election Pocket Knife with a 3.5” Stainless Steel Blade and Full Color 3D Print Artwork for $20.99

Tiger USA-Trump 2024 Let’s Go Brandon Knife for $19.99

Timber Wolf Limited Edition Trump Bowie Knife and Sheath with a 10.5” Blade for $57.99

And even the Donald Trump Keep America Great Nail Clipper Set for $14.98!

When this blog is posted on the SOTA Facebook page there may be posts critical of me saying that I’m against these Trump-related knives being sold.  Some will read the title or the very beginning of the blog and proceed no further and will bash me for criticizing Trump-related knives, but I am NOT criticizing the sale of these knives.

This is good marketing.  I’m sure that many of Trump’s loyalist followers are into knives and hunting and many even some sit on the porch of their rural dwelling and whittle away as they consume right-wing radical media!  But marketing knives to Trump supporters is smart business.

What I do have a problem with is the latest “Keep America Great Rally Knife '' and promoting that this is the perfect weapon for MAGA supporters to bring with them to a Trump rally.  That blatantly suggests the threat of violence.  There has been scattered violence at Trump rallies, but nothing has been exposed to suggest that the violence is so prevalent that knives are needed for protection.

Marketing Trump knives - smart business.  Promoting a special knife to bring with you to a Trump rally as a weapon - suggesting violence.
