I witnessed two military planes circling around the city of New Orleans when driving into the WWL studios this morning, and wondered why two cargo planes were in loose formation over the city at several hundred feet.
I had Ian call the Naval Air Station in Belle Chase to inquire about the military planes and they said they had no idea what they were doing but that they were from the 403rd Wing of the Air Force at Keelser Air Force Base in Biloxi. Another phone call revealed that the two cargo planes were on a “training mission” over New Orleans.
Was this a possible training mission for the military preparing for a mission in Venezuela? Probably not. Hey, we’re just asking questions!
