Tracking Hurricane Ida's damage: Roof-ripping wind, trees leveled in south Louisiana

Hurricane Ida slammed headlong into Louisiana on Sunday afternoon, and it had no intention of leaving quietly.

After strengthening rapidly throughout the day Saturday, the storm remained at Category 4 with winds topping 130 mph well past 5 p.m., with impacts for much of south Louisiana expected to linger into Monday morning.
