The National Hurricane Center is giving a tropical wave in the central Atlantic Ocean even chances of developing into a tropical cyclone over the next seven days.
The wave is forecast to interact with an area of disturbed weather in the region.
"Environmental conditions are forecast to become conducive for gradual development," said Senior Hurricane Specialist John Cangialosi. "A tropical depression could form late this week while the system is in the vicinity of the Greater Antilles or the Bahamas."
The hurricane center advises anyone from the Bahamas to the Gulf coast keep an eye on it.
