Although the tropical disturbance is no more, we still have slight to moderate rain chances in our forecast for the next week.
Our typical summer weather pattern returns. High heat and humidity will blanket Southeastern Louisiana, keeping high temperatures in the mid-90s with heat indices in the low triple digits. Scattered showers are a possibility because of that daytime heating. Rain chances will hover between 20 and 40 percent for the bulk of the week.
As usual for this time of year, make sure you take breaks and hydrate if you plan on working or playing outdoors. Also, keep rain gear with you because you never know when you might need it.
