CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A collision between a van and a CTA bus resulted in more than a dozen people being sent to the hospital on the South Side Friday morning.
According to the Chicago Fire Department, crews responded in the 10 a.m. hour near 79th and Cottage Grove to a crash involving the #4 CTA bus and a van.
The bus was traveling southbound on Cottage Grove when it was hit by a van headed west on 79th Street, the CTA said.
Thirteen people suffered injuries and were transported to various area hospitals. Three were described by CFD to be in serious condition. Seven were listed in fair condition. While, three were said to be in good condition.
No word yet from Chicago Police whether tickets were issued.
