CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A late morning fire at a Rogers Park apartment building left five people injured.
According to Chicago Police, officers responded to a fire on Farwell near Glenwood at about 11:20 a.m. Two officers were able to help a woman safely evacuate. All three were sent to a local hospital for possible smoke inhalation. They are described to be in good condition.
The Chicago Fire Department said crews were able to extinguish the second floor fire in less than a half hour.
Two others were being evaluated for injuries.
Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
