CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Investigators say they've solved the killing of a coyote on Chicago's Southwest Side earlier this month, and they've arrested four teenagers.
Investigators with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources said the attack happened along railroad tracks near 106th and Sacramento on Jan. 11.
Police said the coyote died after it was shot with a bow and stomped on.
A spokesperson for IDNR said three 16-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy have been arrested and face a variety of charges. They include illegal hunting, abandoning the carcass of a wild animal on private property without permission and hunting within 100 yards of a home.
Because the teens are all juveniles, their identities were not released.
