(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- While most Illinoisans have received their income and property tax rebates, some are still waiting for their money.
Rebates continue to roll out, with less than 4% of qualified taxpayers awaiting their arrival, according to an update from state officials on Wednesday.
So far, the state said checks totaling more than $1 billion have been issued to some 5.1 million Illinoisans.
Payments for qualified individuals and households began being distributed in Sept. 12. The income tax rebate, offered as pandemic-related relief, was $50 for a single person.
