(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago police are alerting residents of the Chicago Lawn neighborhood about a series of armed robberies.
Police say two to four men approach in a stolen brown Kia Soul and a white Cadillac with no license plates and box-in the victim's vehicle. The offenders then exit the vehicles, with handguns and demand the victim's property.
Witnesses of the recent incident say the offenders wore black clothing and ski masks.
The incidents happened in the overnight hours earlier this week along South Kedvale Avenue, Homan Avenue, 43rd Street, Pulaski Street, and Springfield Avenue.
In one of the incidents, the owner of a vehicle found the offenders smashing the windows of his car. That’s when one of the offenders fired a gun at the victim. No one was hurt.
