(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — An embarrassment of riches? The Chicago Bears have quite the quarterback core, as the team continues training camp at Halas Hall.

Andy Dalton is the presumed starter, with first-round NFL Draft pick Nick Foles and veteran Nick Foles in — for now — backup roles.

“You see Andy Dalton getting the ball out of his hands quickly, putting the pressure on the receivers, making sure they’re right in position for big catches, big plays for the offense,” Tom Thayer tells Bears play-by-play announcer Jeff Joniak.

“Then you see the display of athleticism by Justin Fields. It’s going to be exciting to see ultimately what he can do, with his feet, with his head and with his arm.”

As for Nick Foles, a Super Bowl-winning quarterback, Thayer says: “He is a book of knowledge.”
