(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — There’s good news and some inconvenient news about the water situation in south suburban Dixmoor.
There was a water line break on Spaulding Avenue in over the weekend that caused low water pressure. According to a statement from Village President Fitzgerald Roberts, the pipe was repaired and water pressure restored Sunday evening.
But a boil order is in effect until at least Tuesday evening, officials said, because water quality tests are still being done. The boil order covers water that residents consume.
Last year, Dixmoor residents had long-lasting water woes because of problems local officials blamed on its supplier, the city of Harvey.
