(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago’s Inspector General has issued what it calls “urgent recommendations” for police in handling search warrants — an attempt to straighten things out following the well-publicized wrongful raid on a Chicago woman.

The images from police body cams from that February 2109 raid were startling. Anjanette Young is heard crying and telling officers — again and again — that they had the wrong house. Police handcuffed Young as she stood there naked.

The IG says police should verify and corroborate information used to get a search warrant.

Police Supt. David Brown reportedly agrees and has formed a Search Warrant Committee within the department to review what’s been done.

The IG’s office already is looking into possible misconduct by the mayor’s office and other city offices as Young’s lawyers and CBS 2 sought copies of the police body cam video.
