Chicagoans continue to hold vigil, prayers, rallies in support of Ukraine after Russia invaded the Eastern European country this week.
Demonstrators made their voices heard downtown last night.
At a rally outside the Consulate General of Ukraine in River North, one man told CBS 2 that NATO air support is needed now to protect families that are sheltered in the subways, tunnels, makeshift bomb shelters and basements.
With a feeling of helplessness among Chicago's Ukrainian community and with family in Ukraine, Karolina Plishka said there isn't much that they can do.
"At least we can come out here so we're just not standing alone," she said. "We are standing together."
