(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago is known for its deep-dish pizza, but if you really want to see some dough, visit the Money Museum, which is now reopened to the public after three years.

Inside the free Money Museum, which is on the first floor of the Chicago Reserve, you can learn about how to detect a counterfeit bill. There's a change-filled money pit and everything you wanted to know about the history of American currency.

Museum Programs Coordinator Sophia Booth says there is also machine that passes old and unusable bills through glass tubes and into a shredder right before visitors’ eyes.

There is a huge glass cube that is stuffed with a million dollars’ worth of $1 bills.
