CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A police stand-off with an alleged gunman ended peacefully early Thursday morning but not before some tense moments.
A SWAT unit was called out around 1:30 a.m. after Chicago police said an alleged gunman barricaded himself in a residence in the Pullman neighborhood in the 900 block of East 104th Street. Police said that was after the suspect and police exchanged gunfire as officers were chasing him. No one was shot and around 4 a.m. the suspect was in custody.
The incident began when officers noticed a vehicle wanted in a shooting in the area and pulled it over. Police said one suspect was quickly arrested and a gun was recovered but the second suspect ran into a nearby home.
One officer did suffer minor cuts to one of his hands.
