(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A non-profit theater on Chicago's North Side has launched an online fundraiser to offset costs generated by a fire.
The fire in September at The Factory Theater in Rogers Park was limited to a storage room, but it damaged a furnace that had to be replaced.
It also forced the cancellation of some performances.
Managing Director Phil Claudnic said all that cost the theater about $15,000 as it was still dealing with financial challenges related to lost performances during the COVID pandemic.
The theater has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to cover the costs of the new furnace and the lost ticket sales.
Donations also can also be made by clicking on the word "give" at the top of The Factory Theater's web site.
