CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A lawsuit has been filed by the city of Chicago against a solar panel company for allegedly defrauding customers.
The lawsuit has been filed against Sun Badger Solar, a company that went out of business a couple of months ago. The suit alleges people paid about $13,000 dollars in down payments last year, but the company stopped fulfilling orders, because it was running low on cash.
More than 500 people have joined a private Facebook group dedicated to bad reviews of Sun Badger Solar. The company was sued last month by the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office on similar allegation and The Dane County, Wisconsin Sheriff has begun an investigation into the company for not doing work it was paid to do.
