Frank Zarnay, 75, of southwest suburban Hometown faces several felony charges of theft and mail fraud.
Attorney General Kwame Raoul claims Zarnay was part of a group who targeted elderly people, and notified them that they won a Publisher’s Clearing House prize worth millions of dollars.
Then the victims were informed that they had to send money to Zarnay to claim their winnings.
AG Raoul says Zarnay stole more than $100,000 using this scam.
Zarnay's next court date is December 14th.
