CREST HILL, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A Crest Hill man is accused of a gun crime involving the alleged intimidation of an investigator with the Department of Children and Family Services.

The investigator, who works in the agency’s Joliet office, removed the man’s daughter from his care.

She said Ricky Evans, 32 told her “that she has to leave that building sooner or later.”

He allegedly fired a gun at the building, breaking a window and glass doors in May. Evans is now charged with intimidation, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and criminal damage to property.

The Joliet Herald News reported that Evans has been in the Will County Jail since mid-July when, its alleged, he called 911 and made a threat against the courthouse, saying everybody needed to get out.

When asked why, a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office reported that he said, “Y’all see.”

He was charged with disorderly conduct for that.
