CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The beloved, commemorative bricks outside Wrigley Field are up for sale after several years.
The bricks made their home under the marque for years at Wrigley Field, but were moved and relocated during the renovation project.
"There was a lot of work that had to be done on the 1060 project to understand what space would be available for additional brick pavers for fans, but it was such a popular offering that we decided to bring it back this holiday season," said Cubs spokeswoman Lauren Fritts.
Fritts said starting Thursday, Dec. 10, fans can once again purchase a personalized, engraved brick paver while supplies last to commemorate their fandom. The brick pavers will be placed on the north side of the stadium along Waveland Avenue.
"The 7,000 we have on sale now are the ones we have available. We don't anticipate having another round of sales at the moment, so if fans are interested they should jump on this sale."
The brick paver packages are $199 and include one installed brick, one replica brick delivered to the purchaser’s home and a certificate of recognition. Additional items, including an additional replica brick and display case, are also available for purchase. The brick pavers will be installed in time for the 2022 regular season.
