(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Melrose Park police said a 52-year-old Chicago man is dead, after a vehicle hit his bike Tuesday morning.
Melrose Park spokesman Andrew Mack said James Bowman was heading east on Armitage Avenue and crossing Mannheim Road when a vehicle hit his bike.
“The driver was headed southbound on Mannheim, stayed on the scene and was cited with failure to yield,” Mack said.
Bowman was pronounced dead at Loyola University Medical Center, he said.
Mack said police withheld the name of the driver as the investigation continues.
