CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A nursing assistant at the Dekalb Nursing Home is facing felony charges after allegedly inflating the hours she worked.
Jasmine Anderson, 22 , was a certified nursing assistant at the county-owned Dekalb Nursing Home.
She allegedly inflated time cards over a five month period resulting in alleged fraud totaling $16,000.
The Dekalb County Chronicle reported that the nursing home is a facility with major financial issues, partly from past mismanagement, and a private sale is being considered.
Anderson worked for an outside staffing agency, Maxim Healthcare.
Sheriff Andy Sullivan said it appears there were “checks and balances” issues between the county and the agency as the investigation continues.
