CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -There were some scary moments for some DNC delegates and others during a shooting inside a popular South Loop diner overnight.
A couple of delegates said they were inside the White Palace Grill, near Roosevelt and Canal, just before 3 a.m., when someone started shooting, causing them to dive under tables.
Chicago Police said a man or young man fired shots, hitting a 42-year-old man who was walking out the diner. He was initially taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in fair condition, with multiple gunshot wounds.
Police said the gunman took off but offered no additional details. No one is in custody.
