Dog missing after house fire in Aurora

AURORA, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- One dog was saved, but another is missing after a fire in Aurora Friday afternoon.

The Aurora Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 500 block of West Park Avenue.

No one was at home at the time of the fire, but a resident arrived on the scene and told firefighters that two dogs were still inside the home, according to the fire department. One was a Pit bull and the other was a small chihuahua.

The Pit bull was located on the first floor, unconscious and not breathing, but was revived by paramedics. The chihuahua was not found.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
