At least 30 arrested for fighting, causing chaos in downtown

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago Police said dozens of arrests were made after widespread fighting and disturbances in the downtown area Saturday night.

Video from CBS Chicago shows hundreds of people in the area of Dearborn Street and Adams Street-some of them throwing things at cars, including chairs.

People could also been seen throwing other objects and some were fighting with each other, including fights among teen girls.

Chicago Police officers were on the scene, but were greatly outnumbered.

Police said there were a total of 26 juvenile arrests. Four adults were arrested. There were five gun arrests and seven guns recovered.

There were six curfew violations and two police officers were injured.
