CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- More suburban polling places open Monday for early voting.
The number of early, in-person voting locations is expanding ahead of the April 6 consolidated election.
Lake County offers about a dozen early voting sites now open Monday through Saturday. No ID is required for voters registered with their current name and address, and identities will be verified by matching residents' application signature with the signature on their voter registration record.
In DuPage County, early in-person voting is available weekdays at locations including the Bartlett Community Center, College of DuPage, Downers Grove Village Hall, among others.
Kane County has three permanent sites open: the county clerk’s main office in Batavia, the clerk’s satellite office in Aurora and the Kane County Branch Court Conference Center in St. Charles.
So far only Lake and Kane County officials are offering vote by mail drop boxes at their early voting sites, according to the Daily Herald.
