(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — In the western suburbs this weekend, there is a sign we’re slowly moving towards the right side of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Kane County Flea Market opens with about 200 vendors, after closing down last November amid the pandemic.

"We’re going to ask you to wear a mask, yes, of course, and stay your social distance. That’s all we can do, really. A lot of the older adults already have gotten their shots,” Lori Robinson, owner and general manager, said Friday.

Everyone is happy to be back, said Robinson, who predicts there will be some “good stuff” because nobody’s been able to peruse the stalls for so long.

There will be "a little bit of everything,” she said. “Probably not so many  plants yet because that’s more April. You know, antiques, crafts, new things."

Lori Robinson’s grandparents started the Kane County Flea Market in 1967.
