(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The parent company of a well-known Chicago steakhouse is setting up shop in a neighborhood that was once known for meatpacking.
After years of searching, the parent company of Gibsons steakhouse has signed a lease in the West Loop.
It is leasing 15,000 square feet at 919 W Fulton for a restaurant that will open late next year at the earliest.
Gibsons Restaurant Group is working on the concept for the new restaurant.
Outside of the flagship steakhouse on the Gold Coast, Gibson's operates Hugo’s Frog Bar, Quartino, and the ChiSox Bar and Grill at Guaranteed Rate Field.
A number of other hospitality groups have set up shop in the Fulton Market District in recent years.
