Hundreds of fans traveled from across the country to celebrate the critically acclaimed sitcom "The Golden Girls" at Golden-Con: Thank You for Being a Fan. The event runs from March 31 through April 2 in Chicago.

“This is the second Golden-Con we’ve been to. We went on the Golden Girls cruise so we’re hardcore,” said Melissa Gluck.

Gluck and her friends dressed up as the beloved characters Blanch, Dorothy, Sophia and Rose.

“Golden-Con is three days of fun, laughs and celebration of the Golden Girls,” said Zack Hudson.

Hudson is one of the three Chicago founders of Golden-Con: Thank You for Being a Fan Convention.

“If you are any level of fan of the Golden Girls, if you love one episode, if you love all of them, if you remember the jokes word for word, come and have a good time,” Hudson said.
