(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — If you missed Halley's comet back in October, you’re in luck: Another comet will soon be making a celestial appearance.

The comet doesn't have a cool nickname, but it does have cool color. The green-tinted comet, known as C/2022 E3 (ZTF), will be visible for the next few weeks for those using telescopes or binoculars.

It might also be possible to see it with the naked eye, so long as you're away from city lights.

According to NASA, it will be at its closest to the Sun on Jan. 12 and will be closest to Earth  on Feb. 1.

Star gazers should make their preparations now, though, because astronomers say if this comet returns, it likely won’t come back for another 50,000 years.
