(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Hyde Park is receiving high praise from TimeOut magazine, which named the South Side neighborhood as the 19th coolest in the world, out of a list of 40.

Home to the University of Chicago and President Barack Obama's family house, the community is famous for its diversity, people, and, of course, its food. In fact, TimeOut mentioned cafeteria-style breakfast restaurant Valois as a must for visitors.

"What makes this place unique, I think, is the fact that it's holding onto an American tradition of no-frills food. Customers seem to love it, and we love it as well," manager Gianni Colamussi said.

In 2021, TimeOut put Chicago's Andersonville near the top of that year's list of coolest neighborhoods in the world.
