(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A first-of-its kind exhibit dedicated to pop icon Prince debuts in Chicago later this year.
“Prince: The Immersive Experience” is described as a tour of the late musician’s life and creative career. Visitors will be able to experience more than 10 “multi-dimensional spaces” that include Prince’s Paisley Park workspace, a three-dimensional recreation of the “Purple Rain” album cover and an audiovisual dance party designed by the star’s lighting expert.
The exhibit, done in connection with Prince’s estate, will also feature wardrobe pieces, photography, and instruments.
“I’m excited for fans to immerse themselves in Prince’s creative world in a way that has never been done before,” curator Kerry Black said in an announcement.

The exhibit will open June 9 at the Shops at NorthBridge, a vertical mall along Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. Tickets are available at PrinceTheExperience.com.
Prince died in 2016 of an accidental overdose at his Minneapolis estate. He was 57.
