INDIANAPOLIS (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb said about half of the state's population that remains unvaccinated could learn the consequences "the hard way."
Holcomb has expressed frustration with what he called the "absurd" reasons some people use for not being vaccinated against COVID-19.
The governor said a woman told him she was disappointed that he was vaccinated because he now has a chip in him.
"We deal with the absurd and we deal with facts and there's a lot in between there for people to form their own opinions," Holcomb said.
On another issue, banning private employer mandates, Holcomb told CBS 4 in Indianapolis, he's opposed.
"I'm where I've always been. I think that employers have the best interest for their employees and their business and employees as well because they're working next to someone," Holcomb said.
Fifty House Republicans are supporting a proposal to limit vaccination mandates by private employers.
