(WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A South Haven, Indiana woman was locked up and charged with criminal battery earlier this week for causing a painful injury to an acquaintance.

The woman, 20-year-old Zephanie Pennywell, according to the Porter County Sheriff’s Office, was arrested following what started as a verbal dispute in a home with a 26-year-old man.

We have to be delicate with this. So, we’ll ask that you use your imagination.

It’s alleged that she chased him down a hallway and grabbed an appendage that doesn’t typically see the light of day in a “violent manner,” and she refused to let go. There’s video of the incident, according to the Times of Northwest Indiana. The man was screaming.

Police said he suffered what they call “severe body trauma and bruising.” Pennywell was gone when police arrived. They found her at a bar nearby.

They say she wanted the man to “stop talking to her and antagonizing her.”
And, they said she had threatened to do this in the past.

The relationship between the two is unclear.
