CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — After a soft launch, Gangnam Market held its official grand opening this weekend — and gave Chicago's West Town neighborhood its latest Asian grocery store.

Gangnam Market, located along West Chicago Avenue between Ogden and Milwaukee Avenues, bills itself as "a haven for food enthusiasts" and will pair standard groceries mixed with an array of Asian specialities imported from Korea, Japan and China.

One of the highlights of the 28,000-square-foot space, though, is sure to be the six-restaurant food court featuring local chefs and a full bar.

Offerings in the food court will include: fresh sushi, ramen, korean tacos, and pineapple buns with truffle butter.

Gangnam Market organizers told Chicago Eater that it's possible the food court will include pizza in the future.
