Kane County is sharing millions of dollars in federal COVID-19 relief funding.
County officials have selected 40 different nonprofit organizations that will receive shares of $2 million in community support grants, ranging from $4,000 to $200,000. Recipients include homeless shelters, food pantries and mental health agencies that suffered financial losses during the pandemic.
The Daily Herald reports the funding comes from the Federal American Rescue Plan Act.
