Kenosha Marine injured at Kabul airport is recovering in U.S.

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A Marine from Kenosha, Wisconsin is back in the United States and recovering from injuries in the recent suicide bombing outside the Kabul airport.

That explosion killed 13 U.S. service members and more than 170 other people.

Lance Cpl. Romel Finley III is now recovering at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

He sustained several injuries, including blast wounds and shrapnel in his body.

Supporters of Finley's family are raising funds online to help in his recovery. The money will help with costs associated with Finley's recovery.
