CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - There are just two days until Beyoncé's return to Chicago, and the city is already preparing for an economic boost.
A month after Taylor Swift's record-setting visit to Chicago, the city is preparing for Queen Bey to take over.
Isaac Reichman with Choose Chicago said, like the Taylor Swift concerts, he expects Beyoncé's shows to boost Chicago's tourism economy.
"We certainly don't expect to break records this weekend because we don't have a major convention going on at the same time, and Beyonce is only here for two nights…it’s the only Midwest city she's stopping at for two nights, so we're still really excited,” Reichman said.
He said mega concerts like Beyoncé are especially helpful to the local job market.
"It's really ultimately about the jobs that this money supports. There's 120,000 jobs in Chicago that are directly supported by tourism. That's restaurants, hotels, things like that.,” Reichman added.
Beyoncé will play two nights at Soldier Field Saturday and Sunday.
