CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Street vendors in Little Village are calling for more patrols by Chicago police after being targeted by armed robbers again.

A food truck owner said three thieves with guns and masks held up his business near 31st and Kedzie at 10:45 a.m. while customers were queuing up to order tamales.

CBS 2 reports owner Ulysses Perez said another vendor was also robbed with the gunmen taking hundreds of dollars and a backpack before running away.

Perez wants more police in the area after this-the second time he’s been robbed.

One month ago, another tamale vendor was held up at gunpoint on the Southwest Side.
