GLENVIEW (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The man whom police found dead inside a Glenview home this week has been identified.
The death of 38-year-old Fadhil Obeed has been ruled a homicide, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said.
Officers found Obeed around 8 p.m. Monday when they were called to a home on Long Road near Hackberry Lane.
In an update, police say this was a targeted incident and there is no known threat to the public.
Neighbors say the victim bought the home this summer and was fixing it up with plans to move in with his fiancee from Iraq.
The North Regional Violent Crimes Task Force (NORTAF) is helping in the investigation.
