(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Market 96 Dispensary just opened their first Chicago dispensary in the city's Printers Row neighborhood.
Market 96 is a new minority-owned-and-operated dispensary.
“It was always aspirations for the entire Market 96 teams to find a location in Chicago. We were fortunate enough to win six dispensary licenses. So we have quite a few locations that we're looking to open. But Chicago was one of the key locations we were looking to open,” CEO Fred Spencer said.
The grand opening on the location at 529 S. Wells St. in the South Loop was Saturday. The dispensary’s first location was in Oswego.
Spencer was on the Noon Business Hour to talk about his background.
