CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- You can’t keep a good superhero down.
Amid the coming pandemic, Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry last year was forced to postpone an exhibit exploring the Marvel comics universe. Tickets go on sale this week for the rescheduled Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes, which will be ready March 7 as the museum reopens with COVID-19 precautions in place. The show runs through Oct. 24.
The interactive exhibit will trace the 80-year history of Marvel, a once-scrappy comic book line that spawned iconic heroes like Captain America, Spiderman, the Fantastic Four, the Hulk and Black Panther that evolved into a pop culture multimedia giant.

The collection includes more than 300 artifacts, including movie costumes, props and original art.
“We’re excited to invite everyone to safely explore science with us again, and are thrilled to offer an incredible experience as soon as we reopen our doors with Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes,” Chevy Humphrey, president and CEO of MSI, said in a news release.
