(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Medical products giant Baxter International is putting up the “for sale” sign on its Deerfield headquarters.
Baxter International has been in its 101-acre campus for nearly 50 years. Now, according to a company statement, with the way workplaces have been changing with more people splitting their time between working from home and working in the office, the company is going over its options regarding its current headquarters.
"We aim to provide office space that better matches our current work model while enhancing employee collaboration, communication and culture which will encourage innovation," Baxter said.
It plans to look for a new more modern headquarters in the same general area. No asking price is listed. Baxter has been in the northern suburbs since 1931.
