ROMEOVILLE WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Neighbors who live near the Romeoville home where two adults and two children were killed this weekend are shocked by the shooting.

A long-time resident of Concord Avenue said it’s devastating a young family has been murdered and questions who would do that.

Another neighbor told CBS-2 she didn’t know about the shootings until police arrived.

“We hear the gunshots from the shooting range [that’s] two miles away, we can hear those nonstop, but not this, no,” she said.

Neighbors said Alberto Rolon and Zoraida Bartolomei kept mainly to themselves since they moved in in the spring.

A GoFundMe campaign asked for donations for funeral expenses for them and their 7 and 10-year-old children, saying, “someone destroyed these beautiful people. Please help us find them.”

The principal of R.C. Hill Elementary said in an email to parents that crisis intervention team members will be at the school, and the administration will do everything it can to support students in this tragedy.
