CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A newborn baby was found dead in a duffle bag in a Near North neighborhood Saturday morning.
The male baby was found on the 1000 block of North Orleans Street around 5:00 a.m., police said.
The Chicago Tribune reported that Larry Merritt, a Chicago Fire Department spokesman said a firehouse crew discovered the bag covered in snow Saturday morning when they went out to shovel.
The medical examiner and Area Three Detectives are investigating. No further information is available at this time.
