A couple in Pennsylvania were arrested for leaving their infant alone on a beach to go boating.
Paul Thorley, 30, and Mary Thorley, 28, allegedly abandoned the child at Lake George, NY, for about 15 minutes.
The child was found about five feet from the shore Tuesday evening by a passerby after it had been crying for some time.
The couple, from Mount Pocono, PA, were taken into custody at the State Police barracks in Chestertown, PA.
Both charged with endangering the welfare of a child and are scheduled to appear in court June 27 in Lake George.
