(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Police in north suburban Waukegan are looking for the gunman who shot a dollar store employee in the face earlier this month.
Police say the suspect had an altercation with the employee Feb. 4 over a shoplifting incident at the store in the 2600 block of Grand Avenue. The gunman fired at least once on his way out of the store, striking the victim in the face.

Responding police officers found the victim, who was transported to the hospital with a severe injury. He has been stabilized, police said.
Waukegan police on Monday distributed surveillance photos of the suspect. They ask anyone with information to call (847) 360-9001.
